Am so freaking pissed with the concept of volumetric weight and actual weight shipping rates. We shipped all our jewelry of about 900grams in the smallest size box available and DHL freaking charged us for 2KG rates!
Was so pissed I called them up and they said because the size of the box would be able to fit 2KG. What the F is that?! That is cheating right in my face!
What the F is “would be able to fit”??
So I said, “You mean I am paying for air??”
DHL said, “That’s how we charge and how all other air freight carriers do.”
I said, “The last time I used the local post office SpeedPost service, which is actually using DHL for it, did not charge me based on volumetric weight. They weighed it right before me and charged me accordingly in that same small box for 1kg and still cheaper than DHL.”
DHL said, “That’s how we charge and how all other air freight carriers do.”
I said, “I see, this will be my last time using DHL then.”
Then she emailed me a credit note of a measly $20+.
Who gives a F with that amount?
